Royal Mail offer differing prices for sending parcels in the UK. Here is a guide to each option:
Letter
The maximum weight of a letter under this service is 100g. The maximum dimensions are length 24cm (240mm), width 16.5cm (165mm) and depth 0.5cm (5mm). Ideal for sending greetings cards, personal letters, postcards, bills etc.
Large Letter
The maximum weight of a large letter under this service is 750g. The maximum dimensions are length 35.3cm (353mm), width 25cm (250mm) and depth 2.5cm (25mm). Ideal for sending A4 documents, certificates, magazines, CD or DVD in cased, some large greeting cards.
Small Parcel
The maximum weight of a small parcel under this service is 2kg or 2000g. The maximum dimensions are length 45cm (450mm), width 35cm (350mm) and depth 16cm (160mm). Ideal for sending shoes, trainers, portable speakers, mobile phones etc.
Medium Parcel
The maximum weight of a medium parcel under this service is 20kg or 20,000g. The maximum dimensions are length 61cm (610mm), width 46cm (460mm) and depth 46cm (460mm). Ideal for sending gifts, birthday presents, shoes, trainers, heavy or bulky items.
